RAIL TRANSLOADING SERVICES
Our railyard is a secure area consisting of leased track as well as owned sidings. We make our own internal switches using our state of the art SHUTTLEWAGON Rail Car Mover thereby reducing handling delays. We can load and unload to/from trucks or into storage tanks that are contracted.
We have ample railcar space on site and are serviced by CSX, Norfolk Southern and locally by CONRAIL.
As part of this service we will:
-Track and receive railcars
-Inspect railcars upon arrival for safety (visual) and security of product (seals)
-Spot railcar at unloading station
-Monitor temps and connect railcar for steam heating if required
-Coordinate loading appointments with truckers based on your instructions
-Prepare Bills of Lading for truckloads outbound.
-Supply seals and record data on the Bill of Lading
-Certified truck weights for each outbound load and an accounting of the yield on each railcar.
-Upon completion the railcar is visually inspected, sealed and released to CONRAIL according to customer supplied instructions and Bill of Lading
As an additional service, NYT can even arrange your trucking transportation needs for local deliveries.
